Refined Alternatives Presented to Steering Committee:
On May 2 and 3, 2007 the Project Team presented the Refined Alternatives to the Steering Committee and Peer Review Panel. The refined Alternatives represent improvements to the Recommended Alternatives for Detailed Evaluation from July 27, 2006. The Refined Alternatives incorporate additional engineering and detailed traffic studies to address geometric and operational issues, such as ramp grades, traffic merge areas and roundabout design. The Project Team reviewed the improvements during the meeting with the Steering Committee and Peer Review Panel, and highlighted the reasons for the design refinements.
