On December 7, 2009, the City of Charlottesville City Council voted to approve the major design features of the Preferred Alternative (Alt. G1) for the Route 250 Bypass Interchange at McIntire Road project. City Council's approval allows for detailed final design to continue as well as coordination with impacted property owners and stakeholders. Following the November 16, 2009 City Council meeting, City Staff and a small group of residents convened to address concerns voiced by Council and the public. Several project design changes were made and incorporated in the current design. Councilors voted to approve the Interchange design and authorized the project team to continue with final design.
